7 Wandering Backpacks
on Top of Africa!!
In December of 2024 members of the 7 Wandering Backpacks will be joining the Dutch NGO, Inside the Same, on a trek that raises money to give a future to people with albinism in East Africa. With the full moon of December 2024, as many people as possible will try to reach the summit of Tanzania's 5,895-metre Mount Kilimanjaro. This is a trek to raise money, but also a trek for inclusivity and social change.
At 7 Wandering Backpacks, we believe in the power of adventure to change lives. This year, we are embarking on a journey to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa, to raise awareness and funds for people affected by albinism in Africa.
People with albinism in Africa face significant challenges, including discrimination, social exclusion, and threats to their safety. By supporting this campaign, you are helping to provide essential resources, medical care, and advocacy for these individuals.
We aim to raise $25,000 to support organizations working directly with people with albinism in Africa. These funds will go towards:
-
Medical Care: Providing sunscreen, protective clothing, and regular health check-ups.
-
Education: Supporting educational programs to raise awareness and reduce stigma.
-
Advocacy: Funding initiatives that protect the rights and safety of people with albinism.
We need to reach our goal by December 1, 2024. Your donation can make a significant impact. Here’s how you can help:
